Back

Low back pain & sciatica

Aching, stiffness or pain that travels into the leg, from a lifting strain, long sitting or no clear cause at all.

Typical visits:

6–10 visits over 4–8 weeks (typical range)

Common symptoms

✓ Pain or stiffness in the low back, often worse in the morning

✓ Pain, tingling or numbness that travels down one leg

✓ Trouble sitting, bending or standing up straight

✓ Sudden severe symptoms, spreading numbness or changes in bladder or bowel control need urgent medical care, not a clinic visit

How we treat it

Most low back pain improves with the right mix of reassurance, movement and strength. We find positions and exercises that ease your symptoms, then build back up to the activities you’ve been avoiding.

Hands-on care or chiropractic adjustments may help early on. Your plan may differ based on your evaluation.

General information, not a diagnosis

Every plan starts with an evaluation. Your clinician will explain what they find and adjust the approach to you.
