Consult your clinician before starting exercises

This is a general example, not a personal treatment plan. Stop if you feel sharp pain, numbness or tingling, and check with your physical therapist first.

Chin tucks train the small muscles at the front of your neck that help hold your head up through long screen days.

How to do it

1. Sit tall with your shoulders relaxed and eyes level.

2. Gently slide your chin straight back, as if making a double chin. Don’t tip your head down.

3. Hold for three seconds and feel a light stretch at the base of your skull.

4. Relax and repeat.

Tip

Set a reminder to do one set every couple of hours on busy work days.

Stop if you feel sharp pain, numbness or tingling, and check with your clinician before continuing.
